On Sunday April 26th 17 participants attended a walk at Great Swamp Management Area in South Kingstown, conditions were generally sunny with increasing clouds as the walk went on.

On Saturday April 18th the Youth Birders Initiative held their 3rd walk of 2015 with one participant and three leaders we managed to find 30 species in 2 hours at Great Swamp Management Area in South Kingstown.

Location: Cumberland Famrs, Marlbourgh, MA Date: 3/28/15 Number of Participants: 6 Six of us hardy souls braved wind, rain and snow and mud at Cumberland Farm Fields Saturday morning. The weather suppressed most land birds, but we discovered several duck species either flying over or gliding in the vernal pools formed by the melting snow. In addition to Canada Geese, Black Duck, abd Mallards, we had Ring-necked Duck, Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal, Northern Pintail, Gadwall, and flyover Common Merganser. In addition, we saw Northern Harrier, FOY Tree Swallows, Killdeer, and Great Blue Herons as well as the more common birds.
