Led by Dave Gumbley and Don Heitzman, it was a beautiful sunny day, a first time at High Rock Farm for a number of us. High Rock Farm was a great hot spot with varied habitat's and elevations. We had some great looks at Orioles, Tanagers, Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings as well as Blue Winged, Yellow Warblers and American Redstart. These are beautiful sightings for everyone, but especially for some of the newer birders in the group. After most folks had departed a few of us heard a Pileated Woodpecker calling. Well worth a revisit and only 20 minutes from Providence!
