OSBC walk co-led by Dylan Pedro and Jana Hesser. Accompanied by Eric Poulin, Treasurer of Neutaconkanut Conservancy.  Covered most of the trails save some of the Pond Trail and Blueberry Trail. Nice morning!  Clear and sunny, not much breeze, temps 60-70 degrees

  • Tennessee Warbler  1     * Uncommon migrant. Singing typical "engine turning over song" along the Pond Trail. Never got on this one, although it was definitely close.

  • Hooded Warbler  1     *Uncommon-rare this far north. Singing away "tuwee tuwee tuwee teeyo" near the Reservoir. Tantalizingly, we were unable to see this bird despite a good effort.

  • Cape May Warbler  1     Heard after the fact in recordings and included here only for historical/scientific purposes.

  • Yellow Warbler  1
  • Chestnut-sided Warbler  1     On the Levee Trail
  • Blackpoll Warbler  4     Flagged for high count. Common migrant, and although slightly early, this species seems to be arriving earlier and earlier each year. All singing high pitched staccato song. "Tsit tsit tsit tsit" in various locations around park.
  • Black-throated Blue Warbler  3
  • Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle)  5
  • Black-throated Green Warbler  2     Near the Reservoir
  • Canada Warbler  1     Singing by the stream. Never got on it.
