A Birding Trip to Delhi and Goa, India
A Talk by Carlos Pedro & Wayne Munns
Carlos, wife Deb, and Wayne travelled to India in 2017 on a self-guided trip to bird the Delhi area and Goa. After a fantastically successful day trip to Sultanpur National Park near Delhi (seeing 131 species in about 12 hours!), they moved onto the state of Goa, a former Portuguese colony known for its high biodiversity, birder-friendly atmosphere, and beautiful beaches. There they spent three days at the renowned Backwoods Camp, located in the foothills of the Western Ghats. They even threw in a visit to the famed Taj Mahal, one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Join us for a travelogue of their encounters with 309 species of birds, 3 species of primates, numerous other wildlife, and sacred cows roaming everywhere.
Location: Jamestown Public Library, 26 North Road, Jamestown, RI (click here for google map directions)
