Family Birding Walk

Roger Williams Park - Meet by the Dalrymple Boathouse (map)

Discover the birds of Roger Williams Park on a free walk presented by the Roger Williams Park Conservancy and the Ocean State Bird Club. Ocean State Bird Club board members and educators Matt and Susan Schenck will lead a guided family birding walk along part of the Park’s Big Lakes trail (up to 1 mile). Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Binoculars are available to borrow on a first-come, first-serve basis. Best for ages 5 and up.

Join us for a walk at one of South County's best shore-birding spots. We will walk out to the lagoon and back in search of shorebirds, Gulls, Terns, and any other water birds we can find along the way. Participants should expect to walk at least two miles on lose sand.
